A Valentine’s Day Poem

My love is eternal

I shared this poem last week, but in honor of today being Valentine’s Day, I am posting it again. I hope you enjoy it!

If you share it with your sweetheart, and say you wrote it, I won’t tell! :)

I actually wrote it on paper and folded it into an origami heart. But then, silly me, I forgot to take a picture! But if you want to make one yourself, you can use this link.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My love for you grows with every day
Like the tree reaching for the sky
Like the rose springing from its bud
Like the child, forever asking why

My love for you deepens with every day
Like the sea reflecting the blue of the sky
Like the roots of the sycamore tree
Like the depth beneath your emerald eyes

My love for you changes with every day
Like the butterfly in its cocoon
As the Earth goes through its seasons
Like the phases of the silvery moon

My love for you strengthens with every day
Strong as the diamond brought forth from the mine
Like a rock from volcanic fire forged
The Almighty power in form divine

My love for you shines more every day
Like the stars in the moonlit sky
Like one thousand glowing bulbs
Like the sun in the month of July

My love for you is eternal
Existing through all of time
Through all of this life into the next
You can be sure of this love of mine

Stop. Look about you. Beauty is all around. Don’t miss it - looking for it someplace else.
